Senior Software Engineer

Who are we looking for?

BlockTech is a fast-paced algorithmic trading firm facilitating global cryptocurrency trading while expanding into regulated markets. As we continue to grow rapidly, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us amid our exciting scale-up phase!

What will you do?

• Design and develop brand-new components that push the boundaries of performance, scalability and efficiency with Rust and/or Python

• Optimize and scale our existing trading infrastructure, ensuring it remains fast, robust, and reliable.

• Take full ownership of projects—your work directly influences the company's success.

• Collaborate with our traders, quants, and engineers to develop state-of-the-art trading technology.

• This is a role where your ideas matter—innovation and experimentation are encouraged!

Job requirements

• 5+ years of commercial working experience as a Software Engineer in the trading/financial domain

• Affinity with our tech stack and the willingness to work with it. We use Rust and Python, but it is also great if you have experience with C++

• A solid understanding of asynchronous programming

• Experience in the trading domain

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English

• A critical mind who follows things until completion

• The ability to confidently work on completely new components

• A high level of responsibility and ownership
